If you are using iKnow Church then download the Giving App onto your Android device or iPhone to start using Contactless Giving today. You'll be able to configure the device in iKnow Church and then download the Giving App to start processing donations.
On our support site we have video tutorials as well as suggestions for hardware if you are leaving the phone unattended at the church. Contactless Giving is the latest addition to iKnow Church which already includes donations by card, direct debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, website giving pages as well as recurring and one off donations along with full HMRC Gift Aid integration.

What phone do I need?
You will need an Android phone with NFC enabled such as Samsung S23, A12. For Apple you will need an iPhone running iOS 16.4 or higher. The model can be an iPhone 11 or later.
How many phones can the iKnow Giving App be installed on?
You can install the iKnow Giving App on as many devices as you need, though in a lot of cases, installing on one device is enough. If you do want to install the app on multiple devices, the first device is free, but there is an extra charge for each extra device of £2.50 per month, per device.
What happens to donations made through the Contactless App?
Donations made through the Contactless App on your device, are processed by our payment processor and the funds are then sent to your organisations bank account. No card or payment details are stored on the device.
Are there any additional costs?
Contactless Giving is included as part of your iKnow Church service. There are standard transaction fees applied to the donation but iKnow Church does not charge a separate platform fee.
Can I get a stand to put the phone in?
Whether you're using your own smart phone, a church purchased device, or a 'hand-me-down' handset, keep it secure and available using the iKnow Church Donations Point.
Due to limitations of the Mobile Hardware, this stand is only suitable for iPhones.
Do I need an iKnow Church account to give?
To use the iKnow Church Giving App, your church needs to have an active iKnow Church subscription. However visitors can give to your church by simply tapping against your phone with our Giving App installed. If you do not use iKnow Church then you can register for a free 30 day trial.
* Up to 1 active device can be used per account without any additional cost representing a big cost saving against providers where there is a monthly charge. For most churches 1 device is all that is required but if you need more than 1 Contactless device then additional active devices are just £2.50 per month.
